Reforest Fest – The Ultimate Restoration Celebration

Greenpop Reforest Festival 2026

Greenpop Reforest Festival returns to Bodhi Khaya this Easter weekend, and we couldn’t be more excited about this conservation-forward festival, now running for it’s 15th year.

As the urgency of the climate and biodiversity crises grows, thousands will gather in the Overberg next April to put their hands in the soil and actively restore one of Africa’s most threatened ecosystems.

From 3–6 April 2026, Reforest Fest will transform Bodhi Khaya Nature Retreat into a hub of restoration, creativity, and celebration. This one-of-a-kind festival coalesces the energy of a music festival with large-scale restorative action.

At the Fest’s heart is a bold mission: to plant 5,000 indigenous trees in a single weekend and inspire the restoration of landscapes that are vital to water security, biodiversity, and climate resilience in the Western Cape.

Over the past 15 years, Reforest Fest has mobilised a global community of volunteers and festival attendees and planted 162,645 trees across Africa’s southernmost forest.

Through the Uilenkraal project, 2026 will mark the fifth year of restoring the Uilenkraal Valley – the festival site –back to its original, thriving state.

As well as planting trees this year, the festival’s programme has blossomed into a truly transformative offering that aligns with our shared vision of vitality, connection, and ecological stewardship.

Here are a few highlights that will allow you to deepen your practice, nourish your body, and connect with the extraordinary surrounds of Bodhi Khaya.
